GAXTRACT® Technology

GAXTRACT® technology is a hydrometallurgical solution designed for the selective recovery of gallium from byproducts and industrial streams. The recovered metal is used in high-value applications such as LEDs, integrated circuits, NdFeB magnets, and photovoltaic technologies.

Power supply conditioning

The solution or industrial by-product is adjusted to optimize its behavior in solvent extraction and reduce interferences from the original matrix.

Selective Gallium Extraction (Solvent Extraction)

Using specific organic extractants, gallium is separated from other metals present and transferred to an enriched organic phase, which is then re-extracted to a purified aqueous phase.

Electrowinning and gallium metal production

The purified aqueous phase feeds a final electrowinning stage, where commercial gallium metal is produced.
