A strategy based on diversification and greater interaction with innovative companies, research institutions and stakeholders constitutes an important change in the type of innovation carried out, going from closed innovation to open innovation, in which the company interacts with all external elements to develop our technologies, processes and services.
Our R&D work is concentrated in the Proprietary Technology Development Division, where the majority of the company’s R&D projects are coordinated, carried out and incorporated into the rest of the company’s activity.
The implementation of this innovation model has been reflected in the development of collaborative research projects. Thus, in recent years, the DDTP has participated in 14 national consortium projects (CENIT, INNPRONTA, CIEN, MISIONES, and PERTE VEC) and 13 projects framed in the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union, H2020, and LIFE+ in areas as diverse as renewable energy storage, biorefinery, electric vehicles, ionic liquids, water treatment, and the recovery of metals and critical raw materials from complex minerals and wastes, recycling and valorization of plastics, production of green hydrogen, and the capture and valorization of CO₂.
THE PROPRIETARY TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION (PTDD) COLLABORATES WITH UNIVERSITIES, RESEARCH CENTRES, SMEs AND LARGE COMPANIES IN FINDING SOLUTIONS TO TECHNICAL CHALLENGES OF SCIENTIFIC INTEREST FOR AND THE COMMON MARKET.
This type of collaboration allows for bridges to be built between the different stages of the innovative process, as well as between different links in the value chain within a sector and between complementary sectors, which allows general technical problems to be more easily solved.
