In view of this TR maintains a strict commitment to R&D and new knowledge, as they are the main driving force and guarantee of its medium and long term activities. With regard to technology, the company’s strategy is based on the development of new technologies, the consolidation of existing ones and diversification towards new sectors and applications. The Proprietary Technology Development Division’s (DDTP’s) activity in R&D is in line with the corporate strategy of the TR Group, and is geared towards facing the main technological challenges of the sectors in which the Group is currently active. The strategic lines of research are focused on the areas of raw materials (metal recovery and biomass) the environment (water and waste recycling) and energy (energy storage).
