For more than 40 years the Proprietary Technology Development Division (DDTP) has been developing a series of in-house metal recovery technologies.
The technologies developed allow the recovery of non-ferrous metals, such as Zn, Cu, Pb, Ag, Ni, and Hg, among others, in the form of metals or of highly pure salts, using either raw materials or secondary materials.
The zinc extraction technology (ZINCEX® Technology) and the lead and silver extraction technology (Ecolead® Technology) stand out for their technological and commercial success.
Both technologies stand out for their flexibility, efficiency, profitability and adaptation to different raw materials and customer requirements.
The ZINCEX® (MZP) technology is a technology for producing high-quality SHG zinc or ultra-pure zinc salts.
Compared to conventional technologies (Roasting, Leaching, Electrolysis) the ZINCEXTM technology presents important technical and economic advantages among which the capacity to process a wide variety of raw materials, a lower operating cost and obtaining a higher purity product stand out.
ECOLEAD® lead and silver recovery technology is an efficient technology for the recovery of lead and precious metals.
The integration of ECOLEAD® technology in a plant with ZINCEX® technology is easy to implement and improves the profitability of the installation.
The LIP4CAT® technology allows the recovery of zinc from the calcine in only two process stages because, being associated to the ZINCEX® technology, it allows to perform the leaching reactions in more diluted conditions.
The DATMOS® technology allows the recovery of zinc directly from metallic sulphides without the need to go through the roasting stage and without the limitation of having to use high grade metallic zinc concentrates.
